Mr. Crocket

This one caught me completely off guard. I’d never heard of this film. I saw the thumbnail, hit play, and went in completely blind. Less than two minutes later and I was clutching a first class ticket for the gore train straight to hell.

And what a fantastically wild and nasty ride, it was too.

The cast was great. Elvis Nolasco did a tremendous job of balancing just the right amount of legitimate menace and hilariously vile melodrama. The old school practical effects and puppetry really hit the nostalgia sweet spot. All around just a fun and well made romp that I’m more than happy to add to my yearly Halloween rotation.

“A friend like you is a friend like me! A friend like us is a friend like we!”

I would sincerely and most politely like to ask Mr. Crocket what the fuck that actually means but I’ll just take his word for it! I don’t need that kind of shit in my life.

Imma end it here. I need to go take my kids out and get them whatever the fuck they want.
