V/H/S/Beyond
I know folks have strong opinions about the V/H/S series but I absolutely adore them. These movies proudly and openly wear their over-the-top madness on their sleeves. Love letters to grotesque splattering of ridiculous camp and humor worn like badges of honor.
A lot of good segments in this entry but the standout for me is the Katie Siegel directed Stowaway.
If they keep making them, I’ll keep watching them. With so much real world madness, it helps to just turn you brain off and enjoy a beautifully crafted found footage romp and the V/H/S series has never let me down.
