Standard yearly reminders: I only include albums in which I found the entirety of the release to be excellent and as such, I don’t include anything on the basis of just a single, and I don’t include rereleases, reissues, or remasters. Anything that isn’t a full original LP release, EP’s and remixes for example, are also excluded, though much to my own chagrin (only because my list is always already so large).

This was a difficult year. I had 111 albums on my playlist that I really liked throughout the year and choosing 25 was a nightmare. These are not ranked in order of favorites as I could work figuring that out for decades and die without reaching a solution. Instead I have listed them in alphabetical order.

The Library of Congress blog has announced that they have finally resored the original Frankenstein after 108 years. This is a pretty huge moment in early film history.
