The Autopsy of Jane Doe
So when I say I’ve slept on this movie, I mean… a dead sleep. I’ll forever consider it one of the great tragedies of my life that I’ve looked at this flick for years and thought, I’ll get to it.
What a phenomenally shot movie with three performances the caliber of which we don’t often get in this genre. An absolute treasure of a movie and I’m embarrassed with myself that I just got around to it. The atmosphere here is thick, the first half is one kind of horror movie and then it blends very wonderfully into another kind. It works. It works really fucking well. I can’t stress enough how fantastic this movie is. The editing. The sound. Just absolutely fantastic. There’s even an entire mystery wrapped up int he whole thing.
I’m ashamed beyond measure. Don’t be like me and sleep on this flick any longer. Watch it.
