The Commuter

Synopsis via Letterboxd:

LIVES ARE ON THE LINE

A businessman, on his daily commute home, gets unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy that threatens not only his life but the lives of those around him.

This is my 3rd film in my Jaume Collet-Serra deep dive and this guy has got to be one of the most economically efficient directors currently working. Each one of the films have tight narratives, good use of stacked casts, and little to no time wasted.

Going into this, with Run All Night, I was expecting run of the mill popcorn schlock--that's not a dig, cause I enjoy most things--but this guy is a surprisingly effective and engaging director.

I'm definitely and officially a fan.
